Vision for Gift of Life Church:
I. To Promote and Practice Evangelism We believe that evangelism is the responsibility of every believer. The Gospel (the Good News about Jesus) must be proclaimed to every man as God’s plan for man’s redemption, reconciliation to God and salvation. Matthew 28:19-20
II. To Promote Discipleship The vision of GLC is to bring believers into a life of victory through preaching, teaching, publishing, promoting and training in the uncompromising Word of Faith. To develop Godly character, to help identify God given gifts and properly place them in the body of Christ. It is our intent to equip the believer for every good work and service. Colossians 1:28
III. To Impact the Community Impact the community by modeling Christian principles and promoting interdependence, collaboration and empowerment to individuals, groups and families within our communities. We desire to serve as a catalyst towards maximizing human potential and community transformation. Revelation 11:15, Romans 12:2
IV. Promoting Integrity in Worship, Prayer, and Lifestyle Gift of Life Church is established to exemplify true worship as a lifestyle and expression to God. John 4:23, I Peter 2:9-10, Ephesians 5:15, I Timothy 2:1, I Peter 1:16
V. Establish Unity We believe in Jesus’ prayer for believers to be one. Therefore, we value the whole church (composed of many unique, local congregations with Jesus as the head Shepherd) praying and working together to make His prayer a reality without any congregation losing its theological or cultural distinctiveness. I Corinthians 12:12-27, Ephesians 4:16
VI. Christian Empowerment To promote empowerment and excellence among God’s people in all endeavors of life; socially, economically, vocationally, and educationally and to encourage entrepreneurship. Deuteronomy 8:18, Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:16, (all your getting), II Corinthian 9:8
VII. To Promote and Practice the Work of the Holy Spirit in the Church We believe in the presence and operation of the Holy Spirit in the local church through the impartation and the exercising of Spiritual Gifts. We believe in and embrace the Ascension Ministry of the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. Ephesians 4:11, I Corinthians 12:4-11
VIII. To Establish a House of Refuge For believers who have been broken and bruised both spiritually and emotionally, we strive to be a place of healing and deliverance for mind, body and spirit. Isaiah 61:2, Luke 4:18-19
